The commitment required for the DVD programme is less of a time commitment, but more of a psychological commitment. The minimum time requirement is at least 30 minutes a day all in one go, and the rest of the tools and techniques can be easily incorporated into the rest of your day. The programme is designed to be used by patients with any level of severity of ME/CFS. For instance, if you find it difficult to focus on watching TV for too long, then a lot of the content can be listened to instead, with brief glimpses at the screen where a particular diagram is being shown, etc. Lastly, the techniques can even be used by someone who is mainly bedbound, although in this case it is about taking to the programme slightly slower, step by step.

The techniques used in this programme are very different to conventional techniques, and are drawn from many spheres of therapy. They incorporate NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) techniques, meditative techniques, mindfulness techniques, yogic techniques, and many others. The tools and techniques have been custom designed to address the amygdala-based patterns which are occuring in ME/CFS, and therefore cannot come under one particular banner. Some of the processes can really only come under the banner of "Amygdala Retraining" techniques, and therefore it is difficult to describe the techniques without actually being taken through them. Once someone has bought the DVD programme, there is follow-up coaching and support available with one of our experienced practitioners, who are all people who have been through the programme and recovered 100% from ME/CFS themselves.

The programme has been useful for patients no matter how long they have suffered from the condition. In fact the average number of years that patients had the condition on our study was 10.5 yrs.
